Happy Halli

Happy Halli is a project that was initiated in 2021-22 to holistically develop villages. Rural India has always needed more attention in terms of resources and planning as compared to urban India. Our pilot project was at Shivanahalli in the Anekal Taluk, bordering a national park. We commissioned an extensive study by a team of sociologists on the real needs of the community and identified needs in the areas of primary education, anganwadis, healthcare, drinking water, skill development and a need to generate local employment rather than spur migration to the cities. Immediate needs were identified in the education sector – children in a 20 km radius did not had transport to attend school in Shivanahalli, the largest in the area. To enable them, we provided two brand new 54 seater school buses. The new school building made by the Ramakrishna Mission needed equipment for the labs (Chemistry, physics, biology and mathematics) which also have been provided.
