An Internationally acclaimed project, Project Maanasi, located in Mugalur Village has been running since the year 2002, actively helping rural women afflicted with Mental illness to deal with it and recover to a normal life. An MOU was signed with Department of Health and Family Welfare Services, Government of Karnataka to provide Mental Health Care for the people, especially women  in Anekal Taluk. The MOU was signed in the presence of RI President Rtn Gordon McInally on 12th December 2023. The event was well covered by Media.
