Rotary Bangalore Midtown has remained steadfast in its mission to support children with congenital heart conditions through life-saving medical interventions. In collaboration with the esteemed Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology and through the generous sponsorship of Rtn. Bimal Desai, the club facilitated specialized paediatric heart surgeries for underprivileged children. Two years ago, Rotary Bangalore Midtown identified a group of Ethiopian children requiring urgent cardiac surgeries and, with expert care from Jayadeva and full funding from Rtn. Bimal Desai—including medical treatment, travel support, and post-surgery care—four children successfully underwent surgery. Last year, five more children received the same compassionate support. All recovered well and returned home with renewed hope and healthier futures. This meaningful initiative reflects Rotary Bangalore Midtown’s commitment to extending healthcare beyond borders and transforming young lives through compassion, service, and medical excellence.
