Every year, over 2 lakh children in India are born with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) — about 8–10 per 1,000 births. Unfortunately, less than 25% receive timely surgery or treatment, and only around 3% of children from low-income families are able to access care through government, NGO, or CSR support.

To help address this gap, Rotary Bangalore Midtown undertook the “Tiny Hearts, Mighty Battles” initiative under the GenNext Heart Surgeries program, supporting life-saving heart surgeries for children from economically challenged families.

Through the generous contributions of Rotarians, 21 heart surgeries were supported, with a total contribution of ₹5,25,000.
