Annually, India witnesses the addition of approximately 2.5 lakh new patients grappling with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), creating an extra demand for 3.5 crore dialysis sessions each year. Tragically, a significant number of individuals in the middle and low-income brackets find it financially challenging to shoulder the additional expenditure of Rs. 3-4 lakhs per year, leading to untreated cases.
Recognizing the financial constraints faced by many, Midtown has taken a commendable step by sponsoring two dialysis sessions every day at P D Hinduja Sindhi Hospital. This initiative aims to alleviate the burden on individuals in need, ensuring that at least a small but impactful contribution is made towards addressing the challenges associated with ESRD treatment accessibility and affordability.
