BLOOD DONATION CAMP HELD AT V.E.T FIRST GRADE COLLEGE, J.P. NAGAR ON FRIDAY, 10TH OCTOBER 2025
Rotary Bangalore Midtown, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, organized a Blood Donation Camp on 10th October 2025 at the campus of V.E.T First Grade College, J.P. Nagar, Bengaluru. The primary objective of the initiative was to promote voluntary blood donation among students and the general public while spreading awareness about its life-saving significance.
The camp commenced at 9:00 AM with an inaugural session graced by college faculty members, Rotarians, representatives from the Indian Red Cross Society, and enthusiastic students. Dr. Raju Chandrashekhar from the Indian Red Cross Society addressed the gathering, commending the collective effort to inspire youth participation in meaningful community service. Hon. Secretary Rtn. Ajeet Kandachar also highlighted Rotary’s strong commitment to humanitarian causes and the critical role of blood donation in saving lives.
All participants underwent preliminary health screening, including blood tests and BP checks, to ensure safe donation. A total of 116 volunteers registered, of which 104 were found medically fit and successfully donated blood. With each unit potentially saving up to three lives, the collection of 104 units stands as a significant contribution to society. The camp concluded with appreciation for all donors whose selfless act will help bring hope and healing to many in need.
