Since 2002, Project Maanasi has been in operation in Mugalur, and in December 2021, it expanded its services to the HSIS Dispensary. The initiative includes the provision of psychiatric consultations for patients, facilitated by the presence of a dedicated psychiatrist. Plans are underway to introduce additional counselors, aiming to offer valuable support to patients who require counseling without medication.

Project Maanasi’s extension to the HSIS Dispensary represents a significant step in enhancing mental health services in the community. With the inclusion of counselors alongside the existing psychiatric support, the project strives to cater to a broader spectrum of patients, addressing both medical and counseling needs to promote holistic mental well-being.
