On 18th May 2026, Rotary Bangalore Midtown, in association with Rotary District 3191, organized the Commitments of Grant Ceremony for the Bridge of Hope – Cancer Care Initiative at Sri Shankara Cancer Foundation. The event also marked the successful completion of one year of the initiative, reaffirming Rotary’s commitment to providing financial assistance to underprivileged cancer patients.

Supported through Rotary Global Grants, the initiative has created a sustainable model for cancer care assistance with a Rotary contribution of ₹2 Crores, including a USD 250,000 directed gift from PP Rtn. M. R. Jaishankar, matched by Sri Shankara Cancer Foundation, taking the total project corpus to ₹4 Crores.

The ceremony was attended by senior Rotary leaders, dignitaries, and project partners who celebrated the impact achieved during the first year. Speakers emphasized the importance of collective service, sustainable healthcare initiatives, and continued collaboration to ensure that financially challenged cancer patients receive timely treatment with dignity and hope.

The event concluded by reaffirming Rotary Bangalore Midtown’s dedication to expanding access to quality cancer care and strengthening partnerships that create lasting impact in the lives of patients and their families.
