On 16 March 2026, Rotary Bangalore Midtown carried out the Go Daan Initiative at the Ramakrishna Mission, marking a significant step towards empowering rural communities and promoting sustainable livelihoods. The initiative focused on providing long-term economic support to underserved families through dairy-based income generation.

As part of the program, 10 cows were ceremoniously handed over to selected beneficiaries. This intervention is designed to create a steady source of income, improve nutritional security, and enhance the overall quality of life for rural households. By enabling families to engage in dairy farming, the initiative supports self-reliance and financial stability.

The event was attended by key Rotary leaders, including President Rtn. Rajesh P. Shah, Honorary Secretary Rtn. Ajeet Kandachar, Vice President Rtn. Jagdish Bajaj, and Rtn. F. R. Singhvi, whose presence underscored the importance of the initiative. Special acknowledgment was extended to Rtn. Kamal Bhandari, Chairman – Happy Halli Project, for his continued support and commitment to rural development activities.

During the visit, discussions were held with the team and Swamiji to explore ways to strengthen the initiative and expand similar efforts to benefit more communities. The focus was on building sustainable and scalable models that can create long-term impact in rural areas.
