From 28th June to 1st July 2026, Rotary Bangalore Midtown actively participates in the National Pulse Polio Immunization Drive in collaboration with the Srirampura Primary Health Centre (PHC). The initiative supports the Government of India’s mission to eradicate polio by ensuring that every child below the age of five receives the Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV), safeguarding them against this preventable disease.
Throughout the four-day campaign, Rotary members work alongside doctors, healthcare professionals, ASHA workers, and volunteers at immunization booths and outreach centres. The team assists in administering polio drops, managing beneficiary registration, guiding parents, and ensuring the smooth implementation of the immunization programme.
In addition to vaccination, the campaign focuses on creating awareness among parents and caregivers about the importance of complete immunization. Volunteers educate families on the need to ensure that every eligible child receives polio drops during every National Immunization Day, reinforcing the message that no child should be left behind.
By supporting this nationwide initiative, Rotary Bangalore Midtown continues its long-standing commitment to public health and Rotary International’s global fight against polio. Through active community participation and collaboration with government healthcare authorities, the club contributes towards sustaining India’s polio-free status and building a healthier future for every child.
