On 17th May 2026, Rotary Bangalore Midtown, in association with the Rotary BMCRI Skin Bank and Victoria Hospital, organized the Skin Donation Awareness Ride – “A Ride for LIFE”, with the support of Tusker Harley-Davidson Bengaluru, SIR (Special Initiative Riders), and the Government of Karnataka.

The rally, flagged off from Victoria Hospital and concluding at Vidhana Soudha, witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 75 Harley-Davidson riders. The objective was to create awareness about the importance of skin donation and encourage the public to pledge as skin donors, emphasizing its life-saving role in the treatment of burn victims.

Through awareness banners, public engagement activities, and a strong digital outreach powered by the riding community, the campaign successfully spread the message:

“Your skin, donated after death, can give someone a second chance at life.”

The initiative generated significant public awareness, encouraged conversations around tissue donation, strengthened community participation, and enhanced the visibility of the Victoria Hospital – Rotary BMCRI Skin Bank as a leading institution dedicated to burn care and skin banking.
